“Yay!” I squealed as we see Leilani park in our rocky driveway.
“ who is that?” Awatere
asked as her dad opened his black car door. “Leilani!” I yelled
as I ran to hug her,
we were both so excited to have this sleepover because we
have been planning this for weeks and it was finally happening!
As soon as her dad left we ran inside and threw her things on
my fluffy pink
rug in my room! She took her shoes and we strongly strided to
the kitchen table where I had all the supplies to make our
secret fortress under the kitchen table!
We threw the big tiger blanket over the top of the brown
wooden table,
then the pillows
inside and last but not least, us and my purple, blue and yellow
UE speaker. We listened to some songs and then watched some
Youtube and netflix. By then it was afternoon tea time so my
dad made us some chips, treats/lollies, drinks, popcorn, celery
and carrots! We ate it all up! Then we went and played try not to
sing along with Awatere it was amazing Leilani and I lost and Awatere
won we played It’s raining tacos for Awatere, Gitup for Leilani and
Lost boy for me it was quite easy until all the choruses that is when i
lost! After that my dad went to the supermarket and brought us back
some stuff for that night like more popcorn and drinks! Carrying on
through the day that had somehow gone very fast after Leilani came over,
we had pizza hut for dinner and played try not to laugh. Awa was crack up!
We did not want to go to bed straight away so we watched and movie in
Awatere’s room! We watched Big Fat Liar it was super funny and we could not stop laughing! Leilani and I were quite sleepy so we had a tiny power nap to stay up! We quickly grabbed my diary and we played truth or dare… then after we ended the games of truth and dare we watched a couple episodes on netflix! We were getting very sleepy so we decided to go to sleep!
The next morning we woke up and the beaming sunlight brightened the room! The delicious smell of freshly made made toast burst into my senses. We carefully decided to walk up the muddy, rocky, wet hill in our matching sport tights! We found a shimmering bright river in the distance as we walked up the muddy tracks of the hill. We got lost because we took a wrong turn on to the bikers track so we took our own trail and climbed beyond the pathway. We then found our way at the lookout and were surprised by how much people had there fire on it was like 17 degrees Celsius. We carried on running at different speeds and tripping over roots but thankfully we ended up back home!
Sooner enough we had to drop Leilani off at her house. When we arrived I could see Paula running around waving a Tongan flag! Catherine and Inoki were on the phone doing videos of them wrestling and I thought to myself that was the most creative sleepover ever!
